Two years after civil ceremony, Croatian football star Ivan Rakitić and his gorgeous wife Raquel Mauri got married on Saturday, June 20, 2015, in Sevilla’s cathedral in front of close friends and family members.
Happy couple planned their wedding while Raketa was on holiday so they could have dream wedding. Barcelona’s midfielder won Champions League and the year before he won European League with his former club Sevilla.
Raketa and Raquel met five years ago in Sevilla’s coffee shop that was near a hotel he used to live in. Beautiful Andalusian girl stole his heart from the moment he laid his eyes on her.
“It took me a while to get her to go out with me, but not because she refused me but because I didn’t speak the language well enough, so our communication was just through smiles and hand gestures”, footballer told before the wedding.
Happy couple has two year old daughter Althea.
